07/10/2010, Asante releases New Edition of Voyager I & II Network Cameras and Firmware 2.06
Fremont, California– Asante today announced the release of its Asante Voyager I and Voyager II 1.3MP PT(Z) MPEG4/MJPEG Network Camera New Edition and the new release of firmware 2.06. The Voyager I & II deliver exceptional true digital video quality and are perfectly suited for SME/SMB, Education and SOHO customers.
Voyager I and II New Edition extend Voyager I & II’s feature set with additional enhancements including a wide angle lens, and scheduled image recording. In addition, it enables numerous browsers; IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera and is iPhone compatible.
Customers who already own the Voyager I or II can benefit from the above enhancements with the exception of the wide angle lens. Users can download the new firmware from:

The Voyager New Edition series delivers a 1.3 Megapixel CMOS quality video sensor and a wide angle lens. It is capable of providing a level of detail and coverage not available with most conventional cameras. This can mean a higher degree of security, and the potential to reduce the total number of cameras needed to monitor a given area.
