Platform-independent Firmware Upgrade ************************************************ * METHOD I: WEB UPGRADE If your firmware is R1.88 or above, you can use your browser to upgrade. Please follow steps below to upgrade: 1. Go to the Asante Web site to download firmware image file, FN202.BIN. Remember the location you save this file. 2. Connect the Web user interface and login as system administrator. 3. Click the "Firmware Upgrade" button of "Miscellaneous" page (for version R1.88 to R1.90) or "Advanced" page (for version R1.95 and above). And the "Firmware Upgrade" screen will appear. 4. Enter the location of the previously downloaded file in the text box, or click "Browse" button to search for the file. And then click "Upgrade" button. * METHOD II: FTP UPGRADE 1. Unzip FN202.ZIP to gain the following files: 1. WF001.BIN 2. WF002.BIN 3. WF003.BIN 2. Use any FTP client you preferred to upload the above three files one bye one. Just follow the NUMERICAL ORDER OF FILENAMES to upload them. The username to login the FTP server is "root" and the password is the same as the system administrator's. The default setting is "admin". Close the FTP session when the files are uploaded. It takes about 30 seconds. After the session is closed, the router will be restarted automatically. The configuration will not be changed!
