06/30/2008, All networking switches are “Green Technology”
Asante a communication division of UIC Corporation today announced that all their networking switches are “Certified Green”. Asante’s modern and energy-efficient switches will be known for their distinctive energy saving capabilities. The coming Gigabit Ethernet switch will have intelligence to turn off the power supplier on the port when the device connected to switch is in shutdown or sleep mode. This technology will give end users less energy cost up to 24x7 usage for the network switches.
