Each 1000BaseT port delivers a 1000 Mbps Gig pipe to your high-performance desktop, server or notebook computers. All over your existing Category 5 UTP cable (4 pairs).
Need to connect to a fiber Gigabit backbone? one models (GX6-2400W) feature an industry-mini GBIC port. Just plug in your favorite GBIC transceiver module to run Gig on fiber over long or short distances.
All GX6 switches can connect to 10/100 Fast Ethernet devices through some of the Gigabit (1000BaseT) ports. If you have several 10/100 devices, choose a switch with dedicated 10/100 ports for a more economical solution.
