Step 3: Connecting your Router

Now that you've properly configured your computers, it's time to physically connect your computers and broadband modem.

1. Shut down your computer. (Click the Start Button, choose "Shut down")
2. Turn off your Cable/DSL modem. If there is no switch, unplug it from the wall.
3. Locate your computer's Ethernet port and disconnect the cable that is plugged into it. The other end of this cable should be plugged into your Cable or DSL modem.
4. Connect the end that was in your computer to the WAN port of the FR3004 series router as shown below.
5. Proceed to Step 4
